对于具有应力缓和性能的R类建筑丁基防水嵌缝胶，强调的是其特殊的应力缓和性能。该种产品及概念由日本最早提出，引人本标准时，最初考虑与丁基防水嵌缝胶的弹性要求协调一致，送审稿中将应力缓和性能转化以“弹性恢复率”表征。应力缓和类产品是指接缝被拉伸一定时间后，丁基防水嵌缝胶具有产生适当的永久变形的性能，从而使接缝间应力逐渐消失的能力。针对该类产品应力缓和的特点，审查专家认为，与“弹性恢复率”相比，用“定伸永久变形”表征“应力缓和”这一特性更为合适。审查会后，编制组根据审查专家的建议，进行了专题调研和“定伸永久变形”的验证试验，并将验证试验结果报告各审查专家审定。

经查询，在GBlT 9881-2008《橡胶术语》等标准中涉及“永久变形”的相关术语和名词有4种，即“永久变形”、“拉伸永久变形”、“定伸永久变形”和“压缩永久变形”，其定义和解释详见表1 o GB/T 9881中“永久变形”(第2.370条)的定义比较笼统，未表述导致变形的施力方式;“拉伸永久变形”(第2.425条)的定义也不确切，因为施加拉伸力的方式有多种，如拉伸至破坏、定伸长拉伸、多次反复拉伸等，其永久变形的结果各不相同。根据本标准对应力缓和性能试验方法的特点，建议采用“定伸永久变形”的称谓较为准确，其定义可参考化工标准HG/T3322-2012《硫化橡胶定伸永久变形的测定方法(模数测定器法)》定义为:“试件经定伸长拉伸并自由恢复一定时间后剩余的变形，以剩余变形量与给定伸长量的比值表示”;定伸永久变形的符号以“B"表示。http://www.sdyuantai.com
