       具有多层孔结构的硅藻土的主要成分是Si,表面存在大量轻基,极性大,内部富含纳米级孔道,如果不预先进行表面处理,与硅橡胶等各种丁基防水嵌缝密封胶料混合时,丁基防水嵌缝密封胶料不易进入孔道内,相反,易把大量的空气封闭在孔道中,造成粉体分散不均匀,气孔(泡)多,使基料与粉体间作用力大为减弱。所以,在外力作用下容易产生颗粒间的滑移和断裂,使拉伸强度降低,因而必须对硅藻土进行表面改性。

       表面改性就是使硅藻土颗粒表面的活性轻基与有机小分子发生缩合反应,使其表面覆盖1层有机小分子,利于胶料顺利进入孔道,表现为粉体能够快速均匀分散在胶料中,同时还改善了粉体与丁基防水嵌缝密封胶料间的作用力,使其结合力增强,伸长率、拉伸强度、贮存稳定性等综合性能提高。另外,处理过的硅藻土还可以提高丁基防水嵌缝密封胶的触变性,改善下垂度。

       常用的表面处理剂有八甲基环四硅氧烷(CD4) ,轻基硅油、六甲基二硅氮烷、硅烷偶联剂、表面活性剂、有机酸等中的1种或几种,其用量一般为硅藻土质量的10%左右,不同的表面处理剂对硅藻土的浸润性和改性效果不同,因而补强效果不同。本试验选用,一氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷为表面处理剂。

       准确称取一定量的硅藻土CD02,再添加y_氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷、轻基硅油和少量有机溶剂,在搅拌下升温至(110110)℃进行改性,然后按制备工艺中所述方法复配其它原料而制得丁基防水嵌缝密封胶。用同样方法处理白炭黑,制胶,作对比分析,结果见图S。

       从图5可以看出,两者均具有补强性,掺硅藻土对丁基防水嵌缝密封胶拉伸强度的增幅要高于沉淀二氧化硅,这说明硅藻土的补强性能优于白炭黑。

       值得注意的是虽然多孔材料的补强性能优于白炭黑,但是用它制成的丁基防水嵌缝密封胶外观和透明度却不及白炭黑,所以在一些用于高装饰性材料的丁基防水嵌缝密封胶中,最好两者搭配使用,以兼顾装饰性和强度等各项性能。www.sdyuantai.com
