       过去汽车车窗玻璃的装配方法是用丁基橡胶密封条将玻璃的四边镶嵌于车身的窗框上。这种装配法不仅工作量大,而且外观不佳,玻璃与车身之间的结合力不高。若发生撞车事故时,车窗玻璃易脱离并损坏,急速停车甚至有使驾驶员和乘客被从车前窗抛出的危险。

       美国通用汽车公司1961年首先开发了“车玻璃直接装配法”,该装配工艺是用MS密封胶及其他附件将轿车风挡玻璃直接粘接于车窗框上并同时完成密封。70年代中期,美国汽车制造业开始采用单组分湿气固化型MS密封胶来粘接车窗玻璃,它的粘接强度高,弹性好、耐老化、耐各种有机溶剂,使用也比较简便。这种用于汽车工业的MS密封胶具有较高且长期耐久的粘接力,因而有时也称为MS密封胶或结构胶粘剂。这种具有粘接和密封双重功能的胶可称作“MS密封胶/胶粘剂”。与原用的橡胶密封条玻璃装配工艺及其它胶粘剂相比较,单组分MS密封胶能将车窗玻璃与车身牢固地结合成为一个整体,提高车体的刚性及抗扭曲能力,密封性明显改善,安全性、可靠性大幅度增加。同时这种装配工艺可以减轻车身自重,有利于车体动力学设计。现在国内外中高档汽车、客车几乎100%地用单组分MS密封胶来粘接车窗玻璃(包括风挡玻璃、侧窗玻璃和后窗玻璃等)。

       随着汽车制造工业的飞速发展和高分子复合才力工业的进步,汽车车身的制造也由原来的全部以钢板制造转向钢板一塑料车身和全塑料车身上来。这种结构的改变提高了车身的耐腐蚀能力,降低车身自重,有利于车身设计,减少空气阻力,阻尼降噪,增加驾乘舒适性。目前在汽车是普遍采用的是玻璃钢结构,比如车身顶盖,客车前后围,车身板,仓门等部位采用玻璃钢的形式已经比较多。所采用的胶粘剂一般是单组分湿固化MS密封胶,该胶使用方便,粘接强度高,弹性好。采用粘接工艺后,增加车的整体刚性,大大提高了车辆在高速行驶中的安全性。http://www.sdyuantai.com/
